A Mux is short for 'Multiplex' and in the context of DTT refers to a collection of services all bundled together into one transmission channel.

The radio spectrum space that a DTT mux occupies can only accommodate one analogue TV channel. A DTT mux typically carries 4-6 TV channels (sometimes more at the expense of technical quality), plus radio and data services.
