About 18 months ago I bought one at Asda for £75 with NICAM, text and a
three year warranty.......picture and reliability are superb

I dont disagree really but I dont think you can say reliability is
superb until it is a lot older.
A decently made CRT set should be able to do 30 years easily!!

Look at early sets from JVC, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Sanyo and Sharp.
I am talking about the first sets imported by these manufacturers,
mainly 16 to 20" pre black plastic cabinets. I still come across these
from time to time, producing pics as new. Interesting to compare
prices though and see the equivelent prices people paid for them
then!
