Bother, seems to be far less useful site than one would hope!
Already been there... there's a startling lack of information about these boxes, nobody wants to give information out.
Is there a
"reset" button somewhere on the box? It might be very hidden and require a
pen (not a pencil - lead conducts) to press it in.
No switches but there is a space on the board for one, it's a reset switch but I don't fancy holding it down and powering up, there's only three of these with firmware and I don't want to provoke them into erasing it if I can help it.
Alternatively, any
jumpers etc inside that might reset it, or perhaps a CMOS battery that can
be removed temporarily?
No jumpers (at least none that can be manipulated without a soldering iron) or batteries.

The box is IBM PPC based running embedded Linux 2.4, there's 16MB RAM and 8MB flash, two ports open on the working boxes, Telnet and 54321 which I suspect has to be the back end server control port but I can't seem to provoke any response from it. I think it uses something called JMACX which appears to be a proprietary protocol or control language on this port. Would be interesting to see if Amino would release the source as I think it might be GPL code. Aminocom want NDAs signed and I want to be able to publish my findings so others can use them if I get anywhere. There's a serial port on the back and an unpopulated serial port-ish connector inside, I'm going to play with them this weekend to see if I can get a shell.. Here's hoping.

I'll report back if I get anywhere if anyone's interested?
