Ofcom says 4 national HD channels on DTT

Ofcom has given a presentation for analysts that they've streamed on t'net,
and about 25 minutes of it (starting at about 40-45 minutes into the
presentation) is about Digital Dividend Review and the DTT spectrum and so
forth, and they said that by using DVB-T2, statistical multiplexing (they
called that a new technology, not sure why), "mode change" (i.e. the use of
8K) and MPEG-4 video they think that they'll be able to fit 4 HD channels
onto existing DTT multiplexes and they'll be "universally available" (I
think they used those words).

Also, channel 36 will be available for mobile TV use nationally by 2009.
