well laid out navigation is fine. I don't have to subscribe and
download headers to read new groups, I just look. I don't know how

Been using
Agent for about a decade, using Google is tortuous, unfortunately too
many people don't know any better.

Again, nothing unfortunate about Google and there's certainly nothing
tortuous about it.
I started using it because of its ease of use, its retention, a single
place for new Posts and a great history of posts.

If Google can do to Groups what they have done brilliantly to Reader,
I will reconsider it, but until then it remains a search tool.
