Hi Everyone,I have that program and router but wouldn't use Azureus unless you want
Not sure if this is in the correct NG so my apologies if it isn't, but
hopefully some kind soul will be able to offer a little help.
I have a D-Link DSL-G604T adsl router and on my PC I am trying to run a
program called Azureus, which is telling me that I should have Port
31022
UDP open on my router.
Can seem to find that in any of the setup menu's.
Can anyone help please.
My thanks in advance.

to
slow your computer right down. It's bloated. On any program like
Azureus,
Limewire or uTorrent look in the settings for "Use UPNP". Then your
program
will speak to the router directly telling it which ports to open and
close.
If you still notice problems it might be down to any firewall you have on
your PC. You will need to allow the program full access.
There is a site that will tell you how to set manual port forwarding but
I
wouldn't bother as you will have to do it with each program of that
type -
most of them select random ports each time they start.
www.portforward.com Then other programs you have running will probably
stop
working. It's either set up a port forwarding rule for every program
that
needs one or let the PC and router sort it out by selecting UPNP.
You will notice the G604T falls over after a while, especially if you run
a
lot of torrents or transfers.
Mine was sent back twice so I flashed it with the software used in the
DLINK
G624T and it's much better. DLINK no longer have UK support, they
discontinued the G604T 18months ago.
Another thing to look for if running peer2peer stuff is "tcpip.sys
modification".
Good luck with the DLINK. Get shut of Azureus unless you want your PC
wide
open for all to see.
Out of interest, does your router actually log anything in its log? Mine
(G624M) just has a couple of lines all dated January 00. There's
supposed to be an Advanced Log Settings button, but if there is it's
bloody well invisible. D-Link tech support were no frigging help either.

I found in the past that D-Link customer services personel appear to be a
load of tossers who are not bothered that you are having any sort of trouble
with their products.
I never set the clock time in the modem because sometimes it refuses to work
and I then unplug it and have to reset time which is a pain in the
preverbial. In answer to your question, I just had a look for you and yes it
does log events.
