Certainly at one point in time "a properly installed communal aerial
system" had channel pass filters to prevent other than the wanted signals
passing through.
In theory, yes. In practice, a mux which is close to an analogue channel
will still break through. Here I can get mux1 from Sutton Coldfield but not
any of the other muxes.
