Yes, I know of two others with the same unit, and the same problems.
I've got a 710 too, not affected me yet, though most of my TV recording is
done with a Toppy.

Sony will not acknowledge that there is an issue.

That's their experience too.

How can so many of us be wrong.

I agree, though the unit will be discontinued on Aug 31st, replaced by the
725, (which does not record in RGB mode from its Scart input socket, doh !)
That'as a bad move as I was considering updating my HX900 as the later
models have better editing and I record from cable via scart. I guess
I'll be looking for a grey import without Freeview tuner.
