That is a fault or lack of feature on your TV, not the TV drive.

Many TVs will stretch the picture to fit when the input is via SCART,
but not on HDMI inputs.

Get a better TV, and don't blame the TV Drive.

know that's what the true picture looks like on those particular
programmes but guys for me (and I know its a very personal choice) it
really spoilt the viewing effect

I suppose you like watching streched images just to get rid of black
bars...

Don't worry, its mostly ok. It's no tivo, but if you expect a sky+
equivilent
then you won't be disappointed.

All I really want is a PVR that will give me HD when the bloody screens drop
