Yes and No ... ;-)
The cheapest nastiest scarts are not even co-ax or screened cable; just a
bit of multicore - avoid. (£1.99 CPC etc.)
'Good' scarts use 75R co-ax and overall screen... better less noisy picture.
(£7 - £20ish)
Exotic scarts are no better then 'Good' scarts - just fancier looking - not
better picture. (£35 - silly, silly money)
Quality of construction and mechanical fit of plug in socket are also
important - some are very poor some very good.
So... as long as scart cable uses proper 75R cable, overall screen, adequate
construction, well fitting plugs you will get optimum picture quality.
Pay any more and you are wasting your money on hype and snake oil.... ;-)
You are of course free to spend your cash as you wish, but don't expect
'exotic' cables to really perform any better than 'Good' ones.

Is there anything in expensive leads, or is it a sales con to get you to
buy
something which you may not need?
