All sorts of HDMI Telewest problems

Hi - anyone out there got a Telewest TV Drive working off the HDMI
connection? I have a sharp LCD LC-32GA6E that's always been great, but
I've had two telewest engineers out, trying to get the signal going
from the TV Drive to the TV over the HDMI cable, but every time I do
the test to show the picture in HDTV it does not work (no picture in
the box - top right hand-side of screen). The TV also shows 'no
signal' via ext 5 when the HDMI cable is connected. I've tried
changing all the AV/EXT settings on the TV, widescreen is set to auto,
I think I've covered everything, and Telewest have swapped the box out
but it's done no good. Am I missing something obvious? Do I need an
audio (phono-jack) cable as well as the HDMI cable? This is driving me
nuts and Telewest are being even more useless than normal. Thanks for
any help!

What you could try doing, if you haven't already done so is to perform a reset of the TVDrive box, use the SCART cable initially to verify a picture is coming through and then try configuring the box to use HDMI with the cable connected as well. ... Doing it this way means that SCART would always be available as a fallback if the HDMI connection is working as it should. ...
