CRT TV (28PW9551/12) that is a HD TV. They call
it "HD prepared". It has an HDMI interface, and
is capable op displaying 1024i.
But the specs do not say how it is done.
Is it a TV with a true 1024 lines? Or does it

the choice to purchase HD CRT televisions - they have to accept LCD or
plasma. IMO the drive to replace CRT's is as much to do with the retailers
wanting to drive profits (logistics of distributing, storing, and stocking
thinner sets) as it is to do with any supposed benefits to picture quality.
Certainly HD CRT's like the Sony KV-34XBR800 have had great reviews when
compared to similar size LCD. And the LG-Philips Cyberslim cathode ray tubes
have both the ability to display HD and TV's using them are only 35cm deep.
It would be good to have more choice.
