There used to be:

Standard Torch batteries = U2 = D
Baby Torch batteries = 2* U11 (in a cardboard sleeve) = C
Bijou torch batteries = ??
Flat Torch Batteries = 1289 (or something) =??
Penlight batteries = 2*U something (U7 were the high power ones) = AA

I note that they have gone back to calling Lantern batteries by the original
name after them being 966 or J6 etc.

I used to like the bell batteries with screw terminals on the top - useful
for experimenting with.
