Yes, that's right - but also see the point in subsequent replies about
having a second digital tuner anyway in any DVD recorder. Though
occasions may still arise when you want to record two programmes and
still watch a third!

I don't understand that! It may be that you can record one channel and
watch another *provided it is on the same mux as the one being
recorded*. In other words, only one tuner is actually being used and
two programme streams are being decoded from it. This can be done with
the Topfield and possibly other PVRs (and where there are already two
tuners, you can record two programmes and watch a third). But you are
limited to the channels on that tuner/those tuners, which isn't a
satisfactory general solution. Alternatively, it may only mean that
you can record one programme while watching another programme being
played back, which any PVR can do (and which is, of course, an
improvement on a VCR).
