Use
http://www.wolfbane.com/cgi-bin/tvd.exe to see what transmitters are available
to you (with distant and DX options).
If you get a Freeview box, you may find a relative you can give it to if it does
not work. Alternatively if you get some reception you may be able to make
improvements by installing a new and more sensitive aerial. (That was my
approach)
A non Sky digital satellite receiver will get all the BBC channels now, and all
the ITV ones in the near future. (ITV3 now) It won't get CH4 & 5 or UK TV
History. which are available FTA on Freeview.
