| Guys, I've been a buffoon. Just read the PC manual. I've got a Video Input
| S-Video socket and also a Video Input Composite (Cinch) socket, which the
| book says I can use to connect an external video source.
|
| So presumably, I connect an S-Video lead (are they actually S-VHS leads)
| to the socket on my Pace Twin and the other end on the socket on the PC.
|
| What next though. Do I observe the instructions in the Pace manual for
| archiving to a VHS recorder ? Or do I need to use something like Power
| Cinema 4.0 that came with the PC.
|
| Also, does the S-Video lead only supply the picture ? Do I need Audio
| leads connected as well ?
|
| Sorry if these sound like dumb questions, but I'm new to all this.
|
Yes, you will need audio leads as well.
I am not sure if "Power Cinema" will recognise a signal on the S-Video socket....(??)
I am currently trying something similar here, to the Win-TV card in my PC, and all I can get is a black/White picture, not colour... :-(
I plan to just "Play" the data the Sky+ box, and see if I can capture it OK on the PC. I would be careful about using the "Archive" function. I don't know what box you are using, but If I do that on the Sky+ box, it outputs the data, and then deletes it; so there is no second try if the capture to PC fails.....!!
