Hi I have now changed my digi box yet again, and done the usual install /
channel scan for winter hill.

But with this box it has not only found the same channels as before, but

in

addition it has found Winter Hill B and loaded those as well, so some
channels now appear twice !

Can some kind soul tell me where Winter Hill B is supposed to serve, and

why

Winter Hill has TWO Mux C and D transmissions... but only one Mux 1/2/A/B

I am in Rhyl...

Sorry Ken I can't answer your question, but I am also intrigued to know the answer to this and to the same question regarding Wrekin?

I had presumed it was due to tx power limitations in certain directions on
certain frequencies. But as you are getting both sets from WH in Rhyl I now
wonder!

Winter Hill and several other TX's has main and "Fill-in" Mux's.
The Fill-ins are fed to different aerials with different radiation patterns.
The "Fill-in" Mux's do just what it says on the tin.
The same transport stream is fed to the main and Fill-in transmitters.
