Well from all I have seen of it the picture on our 8 odd year old B&O is
still better than what anything DTV has provided thus far. Sharper
cleaner pictures, better colour grading and rendering, no movement
artefacts, and it looks very lifelike:). Who notices this?, not
necessarily me, the missus even notices.
Course digital TV like radio could be better if the ruddy rates were
higher!. They have been taken as low as they possibly can and will fall
further, because the public don't know any better and are getting to
accept such piss poor quality because its digital!.
If you throw information away how can that be an improvement?..
That isn't to my way of thinking progress, or for that matter my idea of
good engineering.
Now I have seen some quite good digital video renderings on German and
French satellite TV from time to time, that have looked impressive any
idea of the rates involved?.
And.. Their sound on some channels on radio shown the benefit of higher
rates Bayern and France Musique. Still with odd noises off, but better
then lower rate offerings......
