The "old" Comms Centre had a seperate Apps room as it had been designed for Valve gear.

By the time the equipment was ordered it was much smaller transistorised kit. Consequently we had, in later years, a whole new room to build the new Comms Centre.

Then again later on, TAR got moved into the back end of the old Switching Centre along with the Studio "Racks", with the front end as Comms Maintenance.

Old TAR got converted into the Graphics area. Then when TAR and Comms were merged, and Comms didn't do their own maintenance, I got my "DTT Lab" in what had been the old Comms Maintenance area!
