which seems to be correct. As I see the same connector can be used for
composite and component signals as well. Are there differences in
connecting cables or I can just use any male-to-female 14-pin cable to
connect my recorder (which uses composite signal of course).
The second thing is synchronisation. I've BNC video in and out
connectors which seems to work correctly - I can record composite signal
and get the playback on the monitor. However when I'm trying to play
back through pin 8 and 9 of the 14-pin socket the image is out of sync.
As I understand the signal is used to feed video back to the viewfinder.
Is this signal genlocked somehow with camera? Or it's fault of my recorder?

They may be analog and digital representations of the same display image, but they may also be completely different and independent, even having different resolutions, as in a video board that supports dual-monitor configurations. ...
