Is there a video-sender available / legal in the UK that uses a frequency
other than 2.4GHz? I have several wifi networks in the house, with access
points a few feet away from where I'd like to site another TV and the wifi
transmissions trash the received video when I use 2.4GHz video senders.

IKWYM: it certainly trashes my wireless camera too.

There is I believe a band around 1.2 GHz;

There is a licence exempt allocation at 1.394 Ghz which is/was intended
for CCTV applications. Its barely one video channel in bandwidth and
offers Mono TV with sound, or colour less sound. Max. ERP is 500 mw

Not really a lot of cop for what you want ....

I had assumed that the cheaper
wireless cameras I'd bought were actually illegal, but recently came across
some paper or other on OfCom's site that showed me there was indeed a band
there. It gave details of the two bands, modulations allowed, and so on, and
although it didn't explicitly say so, it was fairly clear why there are four
channels on the receiver that came with my 2.4 GHz camera (from Maplins) but
that the 1.2 GHz band is probably only one channel wide. I did notice that
the power allowed there was surprisingly higher - might even have been 500
mW, though I might be wrong about that.

Sorry, I can't remember the URL for the paper. It covered a lot of things,
up to and including car radars i the higher tens-of-GHz bands.
