Fine - but plenty of the LDs I know are ex racks engineers. Unless you
think they lose that skill when they 'move on' to lighting?

Also, the idea of having a *separate* racks engineer on a single camera
shoot is just plain ludicrous.

If you don't like the concept, then learn to do lighting as well, or get a
job in grading.
