If you're mainly a horse backer and don't rely on in-running trades,
then you may prefer Betdaq to Betfair. The site is very well laid out
and has enough liquidity for all but the Harry Findlays of this world.
With bookies, Centrebet's policy of offering 1 tick up on SP can be
useful indeed, but beware: on many of the prime each-way thief races,
they avoid offering each-way! Bet 365 offers some good promotions,
but customer service is poor - downright rude from my experience.
