How to find the SMTP of a WIFI guest network? On this page you can scroll down and click on the small blue, red stripe icon (left side of the page). Now you will be lead to a secure WebStat (free counter) page and the last visitor is you on the host network. This works with pages who have a visible counter, mostly free counters, on their page on which you can click.
So next; use the name of the host network in Outlook. Go to: OUTLOOK / TOOLS / EMAIL ACCOUNTS / CHANGE ACCOUNT / OUTGOING MAIL SERVER (SMTP) and change the SMTP to smtp.hostnetwork.com (sometimes; mail.hostnetwork.com). Now you can send emails through the WIFI connection of the unsecured free guest network. Do not forget to change the setting back to the original, once you hook up to your own network.
Any advice from regular hotspotters. My ISP is Ukonline

First advice is get yourself a decent mail client (tip: Thunderbird).
IIRC, a 550 error occurs when you are not connected to your own ISP and
try to use their smtp server. This is to stop spammers. You can
circumvent this by getting yourself a small utility like this one:

Description
-----------
Advanced SMTP Server is a SMTP server program for Windows that lets you send
email messages directly from your computer. It can be used along with virtually
any mailer or email program including Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora,
Netscape and The Bat, and it is ideal for laptop PC users who travel a lot and
have to use different Internet Service Providers (ISP) on the run. You can use
it instead of your ISP's SMTP server
Hope this helps.
