Greetings

A simple question - where did the Southern Girls go?

It's a bit pointless starting a new thread and asking the same question,
especially as the first one had a more relevant subject.

<<snip personal dig>>
David has already apologised.

There used to be a really good NG called rec.gambling. blackjack
Unfortunately nobody did anything when they started to receive spam.
Take a look at it now - around 99% spam and too late to do anything
about. If it wasn't for the likes of David this NG could easily go the
same way - the top class rec.gambling.poker is already on its way.

Cheers,
G-Man
The NG was healthy when we had the Thoroughbreds, Handicappers and
Platers competitions as they attracted hundreds of competitors to it on a
daily basis to post their selections and check their standing. Many of
them posted their reasons for their selections and started other threads.
When the competition stopped in that form they gradually drifted away.
Derek.

Unfortunately thats bang on Derek :-( its the reason that I find myself
having to push thepoint and try to encourage posters to put up reasons for
their selectiions and the view they have taken..sadly some misread my
intentions when all I want is for this ng to not only survive but maintain
the quality of posts and yes, posters :-)

"That Damn Butterfly"
Anyone ever hear from Martin Sage ? Must be about a year since his last
posting. Den said some time ago that he had unsucessfully tried to contact
him.
