No I don't have a written policy yet but I will add one asap - the only
reason that I request an email address is that if you forget your password
there is a mechanism of sending a new one out. Obviously I have to make
people login as I need to identify who is making what prediction for the
league.
I can promise everyone that I will not sell any email addresses on
or send out any unsolicited email whatsoever. If people are worried then
why not sign up for a free hotmail or yahoo account and use that email
address?
Why would I want to give out my personal details on the main page of the
website? It is possible to see who I am by looking at who the domain is
registered to anyway: http://www.whois.net/
I know that people are very sceptical about free things but I can assure
you that I'm not doing this for the money + it isn't a scam - I have put a
banner ad and a pay-pal donate button on my site and will probably put
some google ads on at some point to but I doubt whether I will cover the
costs of the set up any time soon. I did this because I didn't think there
was anything like it out there at the moment and thought that some people
might find it fun. I also wanted to make a website and play around with
learning SQL and php so it's kind of a hobby for me really.
Anyway, hope this has cleared a few things up.
Thanks
Simon
