[OT] Best English Manager

Obviously most people are going to pick illiterate, innumerate, amnesiac Harry. But watching Boro lose to Sunderland, one of the pundits nominated Alan Pardew and that made me think. My choice would be Chris Hughton.

Watching Birmingham, their lack of quality is evident and understandable given their current circumstances, yet he has them playing decent, enterprising football, comfortable in possession yet prepared to pick a pass to feet. And we know he's an excellent coach since he managed to turn Enrique from an off-the-pace plonker into something good enough to fool Liverpool. (And I don't think Andy Carroll is a bad player, but he had a good coach at Toon and he's gone backwards at Liverpool.)

Evil Nigel
