I've just read it again with fresh eyes (some kid knocked on the door so I took
his eyes off him) and I have no idea what I meant but the bit about the wanking
Imp intrigued me. I'd touch myself too but I'm holding a couple of eyes.

I've sat back and considered the pluses & minuses associated with welcoming Nunn
to my Podean shoreline. I lead a happy life, why would I want to be around
someone who, by his very nature, would prefer my life to be less sanguine and
salubrious? I see no good reason. Would I really want any of my girls to be
infected by his self-loathing, to suffer the torments of his troubled psyche for
mere money? The House sees no good reason. Would my friends and acquaintances
still consider me the epitome of all that is hip and cool if I were to be seen
in public with a giant Chinese baby? I've seen the writing on the wall.

As for Kully, I came to that conclusion in much greater haste. He can just ***
