That seems a bit cunty.

Heh. I don't think there's much chance of me creating an online interactive
anything in the next few years, I'd definitely have got someone else to do
that for me. Maybe sometime in the future, but it'd be extremely low on my
list of 'things to learn how to do'.

Now, that actually is something I can imagine me doing much sooner. I've
always wanted to use two monitors with Cubase, that would make everyfucking
thing so much easier as I sometimes like to have a lot of different windows
open at the same time. Mixers, plug-ins, audio/midi part editors, etc.
However, a second monitor is similarly low on my list of 'things to buy', so
it won't be an issue for a long time yet. Good webs though, Ben. You told
me some stuff about some stuff, I like when people do that.

Yep. Someone did suggest to me that I wait another year or so and get a
machine with Vista instead, and I told them to *** right off. I've waited
long enough, and if I can get by on 98 for in 2005 then I'm sure I can
manage on XP for a couple of years.
My needs are very simple, I make music, I listen to music, I do a
spread***, I post, I e-mail, sometimes I look at t'internet. Games and
films'n'*** take place in the other room, as you've seen for yourself.

matter.
I definitely won't be doing either of those things. It's possible I might
download some video*** and burn it to DVD, but I'd watch it on the sofa on
my slightly-larger telly (a much larger and more moderner version of which
is actually fairly high on my list of things-to-buy) and delete it off my
HDD. I stare at this fucking monitor enough, it's good to get away from it
from time to time.
Like I say, I had to get the price down from 'super-dooper in every way'
machine to 'somefuckingthing I can actually afford right now, and easily
improve where I need to at a later date'. The monitor was the first thing
to go as I have one which works fine (if a little small), followed by
half-decent graphics card (I went for the shittest they have) and the large
HDD (I went for the smallest they'll sell).
