Im sick of it, both sides are as bad as the other, but surely
this scumbag
should be looking at an attempted murder charge? The scum has
done it
before, he should be locked away for a long long time.

Dead Link!!!

I think this one works

I gather I wrongly made assumptions re the content of the
non-working link and the motives of the OP.

Sincere apologies are offered for a foolish attempt at point scoring
and for any offence caused.

Knee-jerk point scoring attempts can lead to looking a fool.
I have and many others have done it in the past too - I for one
learned a lesson from looking like a knob for spouting before looking
at stuff in more detail, hopefully others do too.

Apology appreciated Jim, thanks.

DO you know what makes it a lot worse? Someone using it purely
because of the link to Celtic. How many knife attacks have happened
in Glasgow over the past 6 months which are just as despicable as
this one yet not one post regarding them?

The first line of the article reads along the lines of "A Celtic supporter
has admitted to stabbing a Rangers fan..." I'm pretty sure that qualifies it
as on-topic for the group it was posted to sme...

There is lots of history of Celtic fans attacking Rangers fans and
vice versa but the only reason its posted about on here is when its
to attach it to the rival club.

Self-policing is generally none too bad in these groups... if some sort of
attrocity happens, most folk are decent enough to condemn the acts
regardless if it has been one of their fellow supporters or a supporter of
the rival team.
I didn't detect any anti-Celtic tones in the original post. In fact to quote
the OP: "both sides are as bad as the other".
So where is the sentiment that it only was brought up to goad the rival
club?
It was a sickening act regardless of who you support. And like I said it was
football-motivated, so why not bring it up here?

Jims apology does bring up a good point though. Point scoring posts
just make you look a fool.

Indeed. Take two points off your total for trying to score points in an
anti-Celtic suggestion where there was none to begin with! ;-)
