Yet another one who cannot follow a very simple argument.

I never said that betting odds reflected fact ( if only that

An opinion doesn't always have a reasonable basis. If you have lived
for a while you should know this.

So the question remains, why is such a great manager so low in
the opinion of those non Liverpool fans. Still to get a
sensible reply.

Hey, Les: I just checked the odds at Virgin Bets.

Rafa is there at 119/1, Arsene Wenger is there at 259/1. Ferguson is
ranked as low as 309/1.

I will now ask you to explain why Benitez is more attractive to these
particular bookies than Wenger and Ferguson.

Come on, have a go.

Lol, he'll just coward out.

I suspect that I am talking to children? But what the hell. just one more time.

Wenger and Fergie are big prices because they have ruled themselves out of the contest, in fact they were never going to be offered the job and the whole world knew it. Wenger has turned it down before and Fergie is not interested and far too old. But that fact will not stop prices being offered to accomodate the mugs around who did not know this, and there are obviously a few as your question proves. And, as you seem unable to work these things out for yourself, I will have to explain that those two have enjoyed decades of success with their clubs, the place where they have often stated they will finish their careers, the clus where they are treated as gods and where they are once again contesting another Prem title.

So, to put it a simply as I obviously have to, in the opinion
of those who have bet millions on the outcome, they are non runners for the reasons stated. If Wenger showed even the slightest change of heart he would very quickly have become a warm favourite. Just the smallest hint, and that price of 250-1 would tumble to 5-1 almost overnight. Trust me. I do know about these things.

But it is not the same with Raffa. He has not stated definately no interest and even hinted the opposite. He is seen as not having the same prestige within his own board, in fact he just about the most fancied amongst all the Prem managers to be leaving before the season ends according to the betting odds. So he is not in the same catagory of unavailability as the others....quite the opposite in fact.

So why is he such a big price? It is certainly not because of his job security, I suggested that this was because the outside world did not see Raffa as being as talented as his fans. This is why we have the ridiculous outcome of inexperienced Shearer being more fancied, and Klinsman or
O'Neil, or Redknapp and others.

In one online betting source, the major betting exchange, where punters bet head-to-head rather than through bookmakers, (although opinions are much the same in both) the amount bet
on the outcome of the next England man is now approaching
$3 million of which only a very small part has supported Raffa
which is why he is still offered at 250-1.

These prices may or may not be sensible, They might not be an accurate reflection of each individuals quality, in fact they almost certainly do not. But to suggest that these millions do not refelect public opinion is too stupid for words.

I probably lost you way back, but what the hell. It is the season of goodwill, so Happy Xmas......back to your playstation and I will go back to exchange betting.
