Re: Steve Gerrard

Commander Hughes formulated the question :
One of the most overrated, useless, talentless, waste of a fucking
footballer and the biggest bottler I have ever seen play on the world stage for any country.

That's no fucking troll post right there fuckers, thats the god honest
truth.

To think that there are young players in that English premier league a
billion times better than that ginger son of a bitch-whore and they don't
even get a look in for selection is beyond me.

But then again, I look in the mirror, style my hair a little bit and think, what the fuck do i care, I'm Irish and fucking proud.

Scotland finished a point better than you in their group, AND they played
the world champions and world cup runners up!

In the words of Delia Smith - lets be having you.

James
aka
Commander Hughes

Four years ago Gerrard was on the verge of becoming the player he had been threatening to become for a few seasons. Then something happened inside his head.

He has since been a mediocre midfielder who shows occasional flashes of greatness in a mediocre league. In Europe he needs someone else to hold his hand, demonstrating quite clearly he doesn't have the head on his shoulders to assume the authority required to become one of the world's great midfielders.

A pity. I had great hopes for him. He should have kept his head down and refused to get embroiled in Michael Owen's dirty campaign against Houllier, and John Terry's enticements to join Chelsea, and England's air of superiority complex. Then he might have succeeded; as it stands, he's too far gone. Besides, he's written an autobiography. That indicates to me that he considers his career complete.

I would have sold him 3 years ago and taken the money, playing Igor Biscan and Bruno Cheyrou instead. At least they had the heart and desire to make us the greatest club in Europe again.
