The point is he must be held accountable and it should be pointed out to him
in no uncertain manner. Roy Keane going for a piss...as excuses goes that
really is taking it!
As for the "Real World", we brought in consultants last year to look at some
processes in my business following poor performance in some departments in
which the Heads we adamant they knew what they were doing. Final result,
£8m saved, business working better, increased revenue and got rid of the
personnel involved; they even resigned before the findings were published if
we agreed to keep quiet their shortcomings. It also had a positive effect on
the other departments as they set about reviewing their working practices,
focused the mind so to speak.
If you don't perform in business you don't survive.
