I thought that we got to 20 overs with just the 2 wickets down the
ball would get softer, the scoring would get easier and we would
perhaps get home 4 or 5 down.
Then to lose what? 8/40 in 16 overs is just ridiculous, I think the
biggest problem was there was so little in the way of positive shots,
If we had moved a few of the fielders back and keep rotating the
strike and it should have been a walk in the park.
This hurts more than the 1st test because that test we were rusty,
most of the Pakistan team were unseen and the damage was done in D1
and it was always going to be difficult to come back from that but
this time we had the position, 70 lead and Pakistan 4/54 in the second
innings I was certainly thinking Pakistan ~120 all out and only
chasing
50 would be a formality.
The one person I do feel bad for is Bell, a perfect good defensive
shot that spun backwards and bowled him, very unlucky.
PS jut seen a tweet, joint most number of players scoring 1 or less in
a completed English innings.
