I seem to recall that in the infamous game where Chappell(?) bowled
underarm someone suggested that the batsman could have flipped the
ball up with his toe and hit it for the required six, but someone
later pointed out that this would be deliberately playing the ball
twice, and hence out. That story helps to remember that hit the ball
twice doesn't necessarily mean with the bat.
