I suggest you read the true story including my letters to the Blairs. You will find these at: > http://www.geocities.com/blairscandal/
The Blairs did not ask the police for advice they made a formal complaint which was, humiliatingly for them as professional lawyers, rejected within half a day by the CPS.
The CPS stated that no crime had been committed. Notwithstanding that official determination, Blair then arranged for Special Branch and MI5 to spy on me. I have also be subjected to dangerous harassment by them since 1997, not least attempts to incite violence against me by revealing my address and phone number in . newsgroups with incitements to attack me. RH
Surely not true. MI5 have no time to harass you as all their resources are spent spying on Mike Corley through his TV set!
Colin
Sigh. Note: the Security Service is MI5. RH

Subject Access Request
19 December 2002
Dear Mr Henderson
1. I am writing in response to your correspondence requesting access under section 7 of the Data Protection Act 1998 to personal data relating to you.
The Security Service is established under the Security Service Act 1989, and its statutory functions are:
(a) To protect national security and in particular, its protection against threats from espionage, terrorism and sabotage from the activities of agents of foreign powers and from actions intended to overthrow or undermine parliamentary democracy by political, industrial or violent means
(b) To safeguard the economic well-being of the UK against threats posed by the actions or intentions of persons outside the British Islands.
(c) To act in support of the activities of police forces, the National Criminal Intelligence Service, the National, Crime Squad and other law enforcement agencies in the prevention and detection of serious crime.
The Security Service processes personal data in pursuit of those functions.
3. The Security Service has made a check in its records, and it has been determined that it processes no personal data or other information to which you are entitled to have access to under section 7 of the Act other than that which is enclosed with this letter. Any other personal data in relation to you that might be processed by the Service are exempt from the subject access provisions of the Act, but this response should not be taken to imply that the Service holds any further personal data about you.
4. The items of personal data enclosed cover the period up to the date your request was received. If the personal data held identifies one or more individuals we have not disclosed such information unless we hat the explicit or implicit consent of the individual concerned or it was reasonable in all the circumstances-to disclose it without their consent.
5. I enclose a leaflet explaining more about your rights to personal data under the Data Protection Act 1998, including details of the subject access exemptions that might apply to any personal data the Security Service may or may not be processing in relation to any individual, and also about the appeals procedures should you be dissatisfied with the response.
6. However, if you are aggrieved by anything which you believe the Security Service has done in relation to you or your property, and irrespective of whether any exemptions under the Data Protection Act might apply to personal data the Service may or may not be processing in relation to you, you may complain to the Investigatory Powers Tribunal, established under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000. An explanatory leaflet which includes a complaint form is enclosed.
Envelopes for return correspondence should be addressed to: The Data Controller, The Security Service, PO Box 3255, London, SW1P 1AE
Yours sincerely Data Controller
