There's a fourth one next door to me who has a penchant for damp logs and fills my house with smoke through the adjoining cracks in the loft space/roof !

Don't I know it ! Eleven years ago my neighbour started to burn wood, with a gas cowl on his chimney. The smoke couldn't escape, cooled and came back down the chimney into our house. My next door neighbour is a Mr A1, knows everything !

We contacted the environmental health, first they ordered him to stop burning wood, and he had to get the gas cowl off the chimney. Mr A1 wasn't happy. He was even more grumpy, when we sued him for smoke damage to our house !
