Saturday evening I was at a pig-roast beside the Thames between Henley and
Reading and was able to watch the sky for a couple of hours.
Initial Cu humilis turned into widely spaced lines of Sc castellanus, and
patches of haze at the inversion level gradually turned into high St and Sc.
There was really quite a lot of cloud (5/8 ?) by dark.
It struck me that I would not have correctly forecast this clouding up.
There was practically no wind in the boundary layer, the performance of a
hot-air balloon showed what little drift there was.

As a workaround, switching the mode on the box to Letterbox and then zooming in on the TV, will at least correct the aspect ratio, but you are losing vertical resolution. ...
