I've heard a few reports of light drizzle/rain yesterday evening to
the North of my location and see from some of the reports that
Herstmonceux, Odiham and Heathrow reported 'tr'?
The rain gauge was dry but I noticed my car this morning had
particularly thick frost on it which appeared 'rough' as if it had
been sprayed not the usual 'smooth' icy surface. I know frost can
cause TBR's to record 'tr' as ice melts.

Hello Richard: we had a light shower here just after 1900 yesterday
evening. Enough to leave a thin film of water on the conservatory roof
(this was what drew my attention to it as it glinted in the
moonlight). The raingauges showed droplets in the funnels but the
bottle was dry at 2100 observation. The sky cleared very quickly after
the rain so I took it to be a local shower.
