I'm not sure I follow your idea that it's not workable if the PC has
other things to do as well. I always keep my PCs on GMT, so the time on
this machine is apparently 13:41. But the time stamp on this message
will be 14:41 or just after.
But perhaps you have other needs/software that demands the PC shows BST.
