What a contrast to yesterday's warm sunshine.

At 14:00 yesterday it was 21.5C with sunny spells, after a glorious
morning.

Today, after a cloudy but basically dry morning with the ( temperature
16.5-17C mid morning), by 14:00 it was very cool & wet with the temp
15.6C. That's 6C lower than yesterday & the coolest afternoon for a
very long time.

St Ives weather shows todays maximum temperature was at midnight
www.nci-stives.org/weather/Current_Vantage_Pro.htm, typical of west
Cornwall.

Cloudy start with some rain in places. However, it should brighten from the
west this morning to leave some sunny intervals, but also some showers. It
should feel pleasantly warm inland in any sunshine. Maximum temperature 21
°C.

Forecast looks a bit out at the moment down there Graham looking at the
radar I would think a Flash was in order?

It has been a very wet afternoon, but the rainfall rate has never been
too high.

The most annoying thing about the regional MetO forcasts is they are
so rarely updated. This afternoon's rain was plain to see on the radar
by mid morning. The very cool conditions which accompanied the rain,
(14.9C here at it's lowest mid afternoon, that's the lowest mid
afternoon here temperature since May) were not even hinted at. In fact
it was supposed to be warmer, not 6C colder.

The temperature graph at www.nci-stives.org/weather/Current_Vantage_Pro.htm
shows the drop in temperature after a warm night.
