I found it somewhat odd on the main 6.30pm forecast tonight that there was
an emphasis on it will "feel cold" which it will, but temps were shown as
7C
tomorrow and 5C on Saturday. Isn't that a bit high with 850 hPa's shown
as -6 to -10 over the period. Also there was no mention of snow moving
south
through England during the period yet there is an early warning out from
the
UKMO for widespread heavy snow and blizzards, including an uprated 40%
risk
for the southern half of UK , Friday night. The only mention of snow was a
hint of something at the end of the weekend. Now, I am not quite sure what
to expect, especially come Saturday morning.

I think you'll find that the UKMO website always exaggerates it's as
if the'elf & safety gnomes have red paint brushes. Theyr'e a tad more
realistic on the live forcast, perhaps they don't want to look like
drama queens even though that would suit the BBC.

30 mins later different presenter, admittedly for London area, going for a
more realistic 5C tomorrow and 3C Saturday. Maybe a bit of snow, maybe not -
won't know till tomorrow - fair enough, that's honest. Good old Peter
Hopcroft.
