That sound good, not only a fairly rare November thunderstorm but one
that swaps the spead of light and sound around. :-)
Yes, the rarity made me doubt the first flash was lightning until it
was confirmed by the thunder clap after what seemed to be about 3
seconds later. The lightning was bright but the thunder was so loud
that I wrote about that first. Since the time between the lightning
and thunder was so short and all was over so quickly, I suspected that
the whole event was very local (within a radius of 5 miles), which
appears to have been the case, although there may be reports from
Bournemouth or other parts of Dorset yet to appear. Is it possible to
access Hurn station data via the Internet?
