I went to Lappland back in 2002. That was the only time I've seen the
Northern Lights. Well worth a visit, but wrap up warm - it was -15C
overnight when I was there in April but it warmed up to about 2C during
the day, causing all the snow and ice to melt and then refreeze into
lethal sheets come dusk.
Brought back memories of my trip to Levi (northern Finland) last March. It
dropped to -30C which even the locals admitted was a bit chilly.
