Re: Vantage Pro 2 ISS problem

No it was a gift so I have yet to find out ! And its a bank holiday weekend ;)
Another obvious question is whether you've tried simply unplugging and
replugging the temp/hum plug.

Have done that nothing
You don't say whether it's cabled or wireless VP2 station.

Wireless but wind/uv/solar/rain are all fine so I guess that rules out the wireless side
Is there something that specifically makes you suspect a connection
problem or water ingress? Although I know the foam plug doesn't look
like much, it's actually a special type of foam that should be fairly
impermeable to water, provided it's wedged tightly within the cable
access channel.

I had a lot of trouble my with my previous WMII every time the fault could be put down to salt water getting into the anemometer reed and the rain reed sw !
It's impossible to be sure of course but - unless you have evidence to
the contrary or unless the ISS has been somehow exposed to water spray
from the bottom - I would tend to suspect that the problem isn't water
ingress, but simply a rare failure of some circuit component, as
The wind blows pretty hard here so will drive water into pretty much anything. I havnt had another chance to look today given the awful weather here !! 6mm Rain and 200m vis :(
You dont happen to know the pinout of the Temp/hum sensor ? I can see if it is behaving sensibly (if it is then it must be the ISS main board) I agree with you on the early life thing tho, once my WMII settled it gave 10 years of good service! (In fact its still working fine and has been donated to a new home !)
Thanks for the hints.
