I've just seen tonight's ITN news and we thought we were experiencing a
drought of crisis proportions. Poor old Lake Chad has reduced
dramatically due to Global Warming. Apparently the reporter-Lawrence-
claims that this has happened before in the dim distant future. I can
only assume that was Global Warming as well. I have to say I'm confused
as well as worried . Will lakes disappear as the sea level gets
dangerously higher .

Well Neil you may get some flak but Philip Eden made the same point in the
"water water every where " thread. This is what he said and to be fair he
didn't mention immigration

The point is these home proposed by John Prescott are what is called "social
housing" That basically means housing for immigrants. The argument being
that the UK needs labour to fund the taxation for pensions< The truth is
however most immigrants tend to place much greater demands on the system
i.e..a health, housing benefit, income support and DLA. to top that up many
have serious health problems . HIV is actually being imported.into the UK
cost over a million quid per person.
Of course I personally can't blame anyone for trying to better their lives
or just trying to live but the nub of the problem is none of the indigenous
population is being asked , they're being told as in the case of the
proposal for a Million new homes being built in the SE England, without any
consultation whatsoever. That's why I railed so much against Elaine's post
in the aforementioned thread.
