Winds southerly, pressure falling.
A more rapid thaw is in progress with 12cm of snow laying at 0900, reducing by about 2cm per hour.
Nice men with digging machinery and shovels have liberated the local school, which had already opened this morning.
Anticipate no snow remaining by 1700 observation, with or without the arrival of forecast rain.
