With quite a small westerly component in the wind I'm surprised to see
showers marching down the Welsh Marches (!) towards the Forest of Dean,
Black Mountains, Southern Cotswolds and Mendips. I guess it won't take
much of an increase in the westerly component to bring the showers
towards the West Midlands conurbation and possibly even to where I am
sitting in Coventry. Could it be possible to have a snow cover here by
morning, I wonder?
Quite a bit of cu med and cu con here as the temp rises - I wonder what
the temp is for greater vertical development and showers from land
convection?

Noticed some heavy showers over towards Walsall. I find with a NNW the showers don't come across Wolverhampton, they usually move over Cannock Chase, Walsall, and then down towards West Birmingham.
Might be something to do with the local topology?
