Mine is fairly similar, it's an Abit AV8. On mine, in the BIOS there's a setting for 'SATA RAID ROM', and when I set that to 'disabled', the SATA drive appears as another IDE channel.

Looking at the manual for yours, it doesn't seem to have that exact same setting, but if you go into Integrated Peripherals, IDE/RAID function, RAID Config, and set the RAID to disabled, you may find that it does the same for you.

If this doesn't work, or you don't want to fiddle with the BIOS settings, then you can use F6 during the install and install the drivers from floppy; I think the one you want is the "NVIDIA RAID CLASS DRIVER" you mentioned earlier.
