Val Thorens, lying at 2300m, opens on Sat. 19th November. Their website has
been revamped so webcams aren't currently working. Funny that, as Tignes
(another high resort at 2100m) always seems to shut access off to its
webcams as the beginning of the season approaches. They are currently stuck
at last Tuesday and open the following week. They have snow above 3000m.
